Fotos, logos, and Assets

Thank you for choosing Visnovo for your web design project. We are excited to work with you to create an outstanding website that perfectly represents your brand. In order to ensure a smooth and timely execution of the project, we have outlined below some requirements and recommendations for images, logos, and other assets.

Delivery of images, logos and assets:

  1. We kindly ask that you provide us with all necessary images, logos, and assets prior to the start of the project, if possible. This will allow us to proceed with the design process without being delayed.
  2. If you cannot provide the assets in advance, please let us know and we will agree on a specific deadline for their delivery. We recommend that this deadline be set at least 3 days before the start of the project so that we have sufficient time to incorporate them into the design.
  3. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you anticipate not being able to meet the deadline, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible so that we can discuss alternative solutions and adjust the project timeline accordingly.

N.B.

If materials and graphic assets, as well as photographs, are not delivered in a timely manner, this will affect both the final project delivery date and the number of revisions available. In the event that these items are delivered after the start of the project, they will be considered additional changes and will count as one revision per asset.

Logo and branding assets:

  1. The best format for delivering a logo is in high-resolution vector format (such as files with .AI, .EPS or .SVG extension) to ensure scalability without loss of quality.
  2. Please share with us any versions of the logo you have available, especially those designed to fit better on cell phones and tablets. This allows us to better understand the options available and to make more conscious design decisions.
  3. If a vector version is not available, please send a high-resolution image file (such as .PNG or .JPEG).
  4. In case you have specific branding resources, such as color palettes, fonts, or style guides, please share them with us. These elements will help us maintain brand consistency during the design process.
To better understand the difference between vector and high-resolution images, here is a visual example: on the left, you can see a vector image, and on the right, a raster image such as .png, .jpeg, and .gif files might be.

N.B.

In case you have hired a graphic designer for your logo and have not received the appropriate format, you should try asking your graphic designer or studio. They should be able to provide you with the logo in all the required formats.

Guidelines for images, photos, sizes and formats

Dimensions:

Please provide high-resolution images, preferably with a minimum resolution of 1980x1080 (full hd), horizontal with a ratio of 16:9 for optimal quality. This will ensure that the images appear sharp and professional on the website. See the guideline below for the ideal images sizes for website pictures.

Cutting photographs:
If the pictures include people, we suggest taking the pictures with the full subject, including the top of the head and arms, against a neutral background.  We also suggest that you leave ample margins around the photographed subject. This allows us greater flexibility in cropping and framing images to fit different layouts without losing any important elements.

The subject should have a natural smile and adopt an open, relaxed pose. We do this because a genuine smile and a relaxed posture make images more inviting and pleasant. They instill a sense of warmth and happiness, making one feel a positive connection with the viewer.

Crossed arms or not?
The answer here is... It depends, but usually no! Only if it happens naturally. The main problem with crossed arms is that the pose seems a bit forced or studied. There is also the problem of body language - crossed arms are considered defensive and closed. See the image below, which one do you find more appealing?

Photos of the office, studio or workspace:
If the pictures are intended to show your office or workspace, we recommend making sure the space is clean, tidy, and well-lit. This helps to create a positive impression and a professional atmosphere in the images.
Be aware that photographs can capture sensitive information. Make sure that no personal information of your clients or patients is visible in the office during the photo session.
